White Oak Bark (Organic)

Quercus alba

The oak presents in over 400 species, mostly on the North American continent but some found in Northern parts of South America as well. Native American use included consumption of acorns, but was part of medicinal traditions as well. Early settlers in North America were introduced to its benefits as an anti-inflammatory, astringent, anti-discharge, and antiseptic.

White Oak Bark is used internally for acute conditions such as diarrhea or dysentery, or for infections of the throat such as laryngitis, and otherwise externally such as for applying to bleeding hemorrhoids or for wound healing.
